Infrastructure funding is one of the most critical economic, productivity and social challenges facing our State and the Nation as a whole.
Kelly had the honour of addressing the Committee for Melbourne to highlight some of the experiences the electorate of Higgins and its constituents have been facing in relation to level crossings and traffic congestion.
The economic argument for improving infrastructure is well documented. It allows for a clearer flow of traffic as well a more streamlined supply chain for local businesses.
However, there is also a social benefit for improving infrastructure, and in particular removing level crossings. The less traffic one sits in, the more time they can spend doing the things they would prefer to be doing, including spending time with their families.
Kelly will continue her campaign for grade separation along the Dandenong Rail Line and encourages all to participate in the RACV/Leader Group Redspot Survey by visiting http://www.redspotsurvey.com.au/
