Free Seniors Forums will be held in Glen Iris and Armadale this month.

Hosted by local Federal Member for Higgins, Kelly O`Dwyer MP, the forums will feature Shadow Minister for Ageing, Bronwyn Bishop MP, and cover topics such as pensions, cost of living, private health insurance, safety and aged care.

Two forums will be held on Friday, 23 July in different locations within the Higgins electorate to give more seniors an opportunity to attend.

Ms O`Dwyer said the forums were open to all residents of the Higgins electorate interested in issues affecting retirees and seniors.

¨Retirees and seniors I speak to often have questions about health, finances and their futures, but don`t know where to turn to find the answers,¨ she said.

¨This forum is designed to give people an answer to those frequently asked questions.

¨It`s also about listening – to help our Shadow Minister for Ageing, Bronwyn Bishop, and me better understand the issues affecting our seniors in Higgins.

¨I am inviting our valued local seniors and retirees in Higgins to join us at our first ever Seniors Forums for a cup of tea and a chat.¨
